  | Suzuki Violin CD - Be A Rock Star & Practice Classical Violin (2006) CD Description:
This CD contains 10 songs from Suzuki Violin books 1 & 2 where Concert Rock Violinist Aaron Meyer created a background track for beginning violinists to play along with "music minus one" style as if being backed by a real band, complete with percussion, guitar, piano, and bass. The students play the songs exactly as written in the books note for note but each track is in a different style of music (rock, latin, bluegrass, country, and more). This approach immediately grabs the attention of the young violinist and is intended to add a new dimension of fun and motivation once the classical version has been practiced and mastered. Not only will the students be improving on their listening skills (the percussion acts as a metronome so students must play to a steady beat improving on listen skills) but students will feel like they are a rock star and a leader of a band.

For each song, there is a version with the violin part in for students to hear and then a "music minus one" version without the lead violin part for students to play along.
