A Free Music Education Workshop with Violinist Aaron Meyer & Guitarist Tim Ellis
Saturday, December 19 at noon to 1 pm in Portland, OregonViolinist Aaron Meyer and Guitarist Tim Ellis will conduct a special Music Workshop for young students. Tickets are free for the first 700 students by registering and filling out the form on this page. After you register and hit the submit button, you can print your ticket.

click hereMusic Workshop DescriptionIn this unique Music Education Program, classically-trained violinist Aaron Meyer demonstrates how the violin can Rock!! Using a traditional violin and a modern electric violin with digital studio effects, Aaron makes the connections and differences between classical music and his own original, modern music, which combines world, rock, and classical styles. Rock guitarist and producer Tim Ellis then demonstrates how this works with a range of acoustic and electric guitars using the sophisticated, computer-controlled studio equipment he brings with him. Meyer & Ellis perform throughout the presentation, showing how their original compositions combine musical styles from all around the world and utilize modern methods of improvisation. Meyer & Ellis then take questions from students. Tim Ellis is also the owner of Oregon's premiere recording studio, Kung Fu Bakery Recording in Portland. This program is educational and fun!!!
